Amazon India is back with its’ Great Republic Day Sale to commemorate the Republic Day. The sale will start on January 15th and continue till January 20, 2023. Prime members will get early access to avail all the Great Republic Day Sale offers a day earlier, from January 14. As part of the sale, Amazon is providing a variety of offers across video games, gaming consoles, laptops, high-end desktops, gaming accessories and more. We went through all the details to highlight all the deals available on gaming consoles including the Microsoft Xbox Series X, Series S, Valve Steam Deck, Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation 5.

Console Deals on Amazon Great Republic Day Sale 2023

Players can grab the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Steam Deck, Oculus and Nintendo Switch. The offer dictates that players will be able to avail up to 25% off on top consoles at no cost EMI. Moreover, players will be able to get Nintendo Switch consoles starting from INR 2,999 only.

Sony PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 is the latest console offering from Sony, it has two variants, a Digital Edition, and a Disc Drive Edition. The PlayStation 5 sees a massive improvement in speed due to the introduction of SSD chips. They have also elevated the immersion by adding new haptics, adaptive triggers, and 3D audio to their latest controller, the DualSense.

The PlayStation 5 is back in stock during the Amazon Great Republic Day Sale 2023. Through the high-speed SSD, players will see their load times cut down significantly. On top of that, players will get their hands on 12 teraflops of processing power with this console through their new SoC that works with AMD’s Zen 2 and RDNA 2 Architectures. It also sports DirectX Ray Tracing to provide true-to-life lighting, shadows, and reflections.

Just like the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series X/S also offers 3D Spatial Sound, it is also the first console to support gaming in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos which takes the immersion to the next level. The console also features a custom 1TB SSD along with Xbox Velocity Architecture which brings never seen speed to the consoles. The Xbox Series X/S are backwards compatible too.

Meta Quest 2

This is a virtual reality headset that will take your gaming needs to the next level. Through this console, you can expect 1832×1920 pixels for each eye, along with 360 degrees view for games and productivity apps. It has a strong Qualcomm Snapdragon XR 2 powering the device with 6GB RAM. The Meta Quest 2 Resident Evil 4 Bundle with Beat Saber 128GB is available for INR 41,999 instead of INR 69,999.

Players just don’t want to see the virtual reality, but actually feel it too. For that reason, Meta has introduced the new touch controls that allow you to touch and feel the virtual world through your own hands. It comes with top-of-the-line hand tracking technology that is helpful across all types of games.

Another great detail about the device is the Guardian feature. Players can use this feature to set up their play area. Once that is done, they can go about their playing without any stress. As soon as they reach the borders of their set play area, they will be warned through the device. This feature really enables the players to play games without being held back.

Valve Steam Deck

The Steam Deck is the latest offering from the biggest platform for PC players to buy games from, Steam. It is a portable device but gives you the powers of a PC right in the palm of your hands. Steam and AMD partnered up for this device to create a custom APU for handheld gaming. The Steam Deck 64GB is being offered at INR 51,350 instead of the original INR 81,999.

The device also comes with Zen 2 and RDNA 2, this enables players to try out any of the latest flagship titles that have been released. On top of that, any game you have purchased on Steam can be played on the Steam Deck, furthering its proposition as a PC in your hand. You will just have to check the compatibility rating between the game and device. Most games are Steam Deck verified and these can be downloaded without any issues.

The Steam Deck is also fitted with all sorts of control options you will need for a flagship title. The players receive the A, B, X and Y buttons, the D-Pad, Left and Right Analog Sticks, Left and Right Bumpers, view and menu buttons and on top of that 4 assignable grip buttons.

It has an Optically bonded IPS LCD display with 1280×800 pixels, with 400-nits peak brightness and a 60Hz refresh rate. The battery is a 40Whr battery that provides 2-8 hours of gameplay, depending on the title you are playing. It also comes with external connectivity for displays so you can literally use it as a desktop too. Steam Deck is not officially available in India, even though it can be purchased.

Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED

The Switch is Nintendo’s console offering and it is one of the highest selling consoles out there today. Their latest variant to the Switch is the OLED variant. It comes with a brand new 7-inch OLED Screen, an adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port, 64GB storage and enhanced audio.

The Nintendo Switch OLED can be purchased for INR 29,999 instead of INR 49,999, it has a whopping 40% discount. Other features remain the same, players get three modes through just one console, which are TV Mode, Tabletop Mode and Handheld mode. Through TV Mode, players just have to dock their system and they can enjoy their games from the TV.

For handheld mode, the get an adjustable stand and detachable Joy-Con controls that can be used to play multiplayer games. Handheld mode is for players on the go, it attaches the controllers to the screen, so players can enjoy gaming while being out of their house. Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED are not officially available in India, even though they can be purchased.
