AMD FSR 3 Coming in 2023 With Fluid Motion Frame Technology as the Company Unveils Technical Partnerships With Ubisoft, The Callisto Protocol, Forspoken and More
AMD’s “together we advance_gaming” event saw the unveiling of several new technological advancements in the world of graphic cards following the introduction of the Radeon RX 7000 series GPU series.
Featuring a slew of new upgrades like the RDNA 3 architecture, AMD is looking to improve on its laurels when it comes to gaming at the highest level. And to achieve that, the company has also worked on improvements in other aspects like its FidelityFX Super Resolution technology or FSR.
The company revealed that FSR 2.2 will soon support 216 games in the near future, which will drastically help players game with high visual fidelity and framerate. And things will soon kick into high gear, as AMD has also announced a major jump with FSR 3, which drops next year.
The company shared that FSR 3 will feature the new Fluid Motion Frame technology, which offers higher FPS at demanding settings. This would allow the next generation of FSR to offer up to 2x FPS over the current variant, as claimed by AMD.
AMD also announced a variety of new technical partnerships starting with The Callisto Protocol. Developed by Striking Distance studios, the upcoming third person horror title will keep you spooked at all times, especially with the Radeon RX 7900 GPUs that have been optimized for the title. Similarly, the company also revealed a similar partnership with Luminous Productions and its action RPG title, Forspoken.
Finally, the company also unveiled a partnership with Ubisoft and its next generation Snowdrop Engine. With several optimizations and implementation of AMD’s Ray Tracing technology, expect to see some very high visual fidelity in upcoming titles using the engine. This includes Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Splinter Cell Remake and the untitled Star Wars project.
