Avengers: Secret Wars- Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler Responds to Rumors About Him Potentially Directing the Epic Phase 6 MCU Film
With directing credits on films like Black Panther and Creed, Ryan Coogler is currently one of the most sought-after directors in all of Hollywood.
With his next Marvel venture in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releasing next month, Coogler is rumored to be the next blockbuster MCU director with him taking up a potential Avengers movie in Secret Wars.
Alongside Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, who is working on Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, Coogler is reportedly set to be a part of the next generation of directors for major MCU flicks following the likes of Joss Whedon and The Russo Brothers.
During a chat with Comicbook.com‘s Aaron Perine, Ryan Coogler responded to the “streets” talking about his involvement in Secret Wars to which he responded:
With Coogler staying mum about him potentially directing Avengers: Secret Wars, MCU fans are wondering what the director has in store for them. After a signing a first-look deal with Disney through his production company last year, the director’s first order of business after Black Panther 2 will be as the role of an executive producer in the Ironheart Disney+ series starring Dominique Thorne, who will make her debut in the sequel MCU film set in Wakanda.
At the moment, not much is known about the fate of MCU Phase 6 and its projects, except for some key crew additions like writers and directors. For Avengers: Secret Wars, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron has been roped in to pen the script, and it will be interesting to see how the MCU shapes up by then.
