BGIS 2024 Round 1: Overview, Teams Qualified for Round 2

Round 1 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 main event has concluded with underdog teams dominating the event. Round 1 saw 1024 teams, which qualified from the in-game qualifiers, compete for a spot in Round 2. Each group played 3 matches, and a total of 448 teams i.e., the top 7 teams from each group advanced to Round 2. Additionally, 32 teams based on the overall standings among the remaining teams also qualified for Round 2. A total of 480 teams have advanced to Round 2 from Round 1.

BGIS 2024 Round 1 Overview

Enigma Gaming scored the most points in Round 1 and was placed at the top of the table with 78 points and 2 chicken dinners. Chemin Esports placed second and got 75 points along with 2 chicken dinners. The upcoming squad of 7Shore Esports showed consistent performances across all its matches and scored 69 points and 2 chicken dinners. Big Brother Esports continued its good run in the 2024 BGMI season and got 66 points with 1 chicken dinner, 46 of which came via finishes.

Round 1 saw a few experienced teams like Team XSpark, Medal Esports, Team Zero and Velocity Gaming compete. These teams were eliminated from The Grind event but were able to grab a spot in Round 1 from the in-game qualifiers. These teams have now advanced to play Round 2.
