Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) offers some of the best features and graphics compared to other battle royale mobile games in India. The game introduces various modes and events through every update. The 2.7 and 2.8 updates of BGMI offered fans some of the best modes and events which included the Dragon Ball Z mode and event and the Zombies Edge mode. Players are now awaiting the announcement of the 2.9 update release date and the features it will have to offer.
Why was the BGMI 2.9 Update Release delayed?
BGMI is the Indian version of Players Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile. The updates are first released globally in PUBG Mobile and are then available in BGMI after a couple of weeks. It was expected that the 2.9 update in BGMI will be released on 28th of November but it has been delayed and there has been no official announcement made by Krafton as to why it has been delayed.
The 2.8 update in BGMI brought about the Zombies Edge mode for the players but it was removed on 27th November. After the mode was removed players were expecting the release of the 2.9 update but the update was not provided on the morning of 28th November. A Youtuber named , who provided leaks of the features in the 2.9 update, also revealed that the update has been delayed and can be expected to release on 1st December. Krafton has also released their Play Pure where a few content creators talk about the 2.9 update and the new features it has to offer.
The 2.9 Update in BGMI will be based on the winter theme named . The update will have several snow houses in various parts of Erangel like Rozhok, School and Hospital. The map of Erangel will also have a Snow Village located in Stalber which will have loot and rewards. The new update will also have a Snow Blaster, Snow Board, Snow Rail, Snow Blast Zone, Snow Toddlers and Reindeer Vehicle. The update will also mark the return of the M416 Glacier skin which will be available in the store for the first time since the game was unbanned in May. It will have several X-Suit upgrades with new animations. The update also has the A3 Royale Pass.
This is not the first time an update has been delayed in BGMI. The 2.7 update in BGMI was delayed because of technical issues. Krafton has not made an announcement on the release date of the 2.9 update so players are recommended to wait for the official announcement.
