BGMI Error Code 1: All You Need to Know

It is no doubt that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is Krafton’s exclusive version of the popular battle royale game PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) Mobile tailored specifically for the Indian player base. On 19th May, developer Krafton announced in a release that the return of the game to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store is imminent. While the date of return has not been shared by the developers yet, they confirmed that the operations of BGMI have been permitted to be restarted by the Indian authorities on a three-month trial basis.

The game’s server is currently offline and players have been having a lot of questions about the status of the server. One of the most frequently asked questions is ‘What is BGMI Error Code 1?

Here’s everything we know about BGMI Error Code 1.

What is BGMI Error Code 1?

Over the last few days, several BGMI players have been reporting that they see the error messages ‘BGMI Error Code 1’ or ‘Server is busy, please try again later.’ This error generally surfaces when a player opens BGMI, preventing them from accessing the game. It could also happen when players try to access the game using other illegal platforms like PS emulators.

It could also possibly happen if you have been trying to play the game from other countries, Keep in mind that this version of BGMI is only available in India and nowhere else.

If you encounter BGMI Error Code 1 while opening Battlegrounds Mobile India, there is no need to panic since it seems to be fairly common. It is likely caused when you attempt to play the game and could be because the servers are down currently.

When the game is officially back and you encounter BGMI Error Code 1, try to wait for the server load to decrease and try logging in again.

If the problem persists even after that, reach out to Krafton’s support and they may be able to help you with it.

As of 25th May, the BGMI servers remain offline. However, on 22nd May, players were ecstatic since BGMI became available for download on its official website for Play Store. Following this, Krafton issued a statement stating that the servers went online inadvertently. “Currently, the closed test track for BGMI is updated. Those who opted for a public test for the game before its launch are expected to get a message which takes them to the Play Store for downloading the game. However, the link won’t work and the game cannot be downloaded as the servers have been shut,” read its statement.

As we eagerly await BGMI’s comeback, rumors and speculations suggest that BGMI servers may return online sometime between 27th May and 29th May. However, keep in mind that these are just rumors and there is no official confirmation. So take these dates into consideration with a pinch of salt.
