Ever since Krafton announced on 19th May that India’s favorite battle royale Battlegrounds Mobile India’s (BGMI) return is imminent, players and fans have been excitedly awaiting the official re-release date. After almost a week, we have an answer to the question “When is BGMI returning?” On 27th May, in its official media release, Krafton announced that BGMI is available to preload from today (27th May) for all Android users on the Google Play Store. However, the game will remain unplayable till 29th May.
As for iOS users, both old and new, the game will be available for download and play on the App Store starting from 29th May, announced Krafton.
Krafton’s Announcement on BGMI’s Return
Upon launching BGMI, fans were greeted by an announcement from Krafton. It said, “Hello BGMI Fan! Your most loved game is now available to preload from today 27th May onwards,” and informed them that the game will only be playable from 29th May.
Talking about the automatic update, Krafton said, “Few users may have received an automatic update from midnight, this is a part of the preload process, and you have nothing to worry [about].”
Players should note that Krafton is anticipating an overwhelming number of downloads and as a result, the developer will stagger the availability and playability of BGMI. Krafton reiterated that this approach will ensure that all players enjoy the game seamlessly without interruptions.
Krafton CEO Sean Hyunil Sohn said, “We are thrilled to announce that Battlegrounds Mobile India is now available for preload. We are consistently striving to deliver a smooth gameplay experience to our users and are excited to welcome everyone back.” He also thanked the authorities and users for their continued support.
BGMI’s New Update: What To Expect?
Krafton confirmed that the new BGMI update will introduce a new map to the game alongside many more interesting in-game events and more. On the Play Store, we see new in-game screenshots from the developer and one of them introduces the new map NUSA.
Additionally, Krafton has also launched a new marketing campaign titled “India Ki Heartbeat” [India’s Heartbeat] to showcase the stories of gamers who embody the essence of BGMI as more than just a game.
