BGMI Tournament Rumors Circulate as Fans Await Official Confirmation of Mega Prize Pool

A rumored tournament with a massive prize pool is creating a buzz in the gaming community following the highly anticipated return of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). After a nine-month suspension, fans are eagerly awaiting the revival of large-scale esports events like the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) and BGMI Masters Series, which were known for their impressive prize pools. BGIS had an initial prize pool of INR 1 Crore while the Masters series boasted a staggering INR 1.5 Crore prize pool and was even broadcasted on television.

The speculations surrounding the upcoming event began to gain traction when Nishant “iFlicks” Murlidharan, the coach of Hyderabad Hydras, hinted at a colossal event during one of his livestreams. He revealed that an official tournament with a prize pool in the crores (tens of millions) was on the horizon.

BGMI’s Grand Comeback: Speculations Rise Over Tournament with Huge Prize Pool

During his livestream, iFlicks discussed BGMI esports and the community related to it.  He told his viewers that he feels that there is an upcoming official tournament with a prizepool of crores.

Recently in the official launch event of BGMI, BGMI Rising, where 256 creators took part in 64 different teams, Piyush “SpeRo” Bhatia, who was casting the tournament, tried to draw the attention of the audience towards the card he was holding. Later Naman “Mortal” Mathur posted a photo on his Intsagram with the same cue card. This would suggest another season of BGIS was in planning.

There have been many rumors within the community where players like Tanmay “Scout” Singh, owner and player of Team XSpark(TX), and Kaushal “Ksr07” Rajput, player for Hyderabad Hydras, had speculated that there was an official event in the works. According to Scout, TX has all set its focus on Skyesports Championship Series and an official tournament that was going to take place right after that. Kaushal suggested that the announcement regarding the official event might be made near the end of June.

Zishan “Mazy” Alam, also a caster known to work closely with Krafton, in a livestream, suggested that there might be an official tournament in the works.

Despite the absence of official confirmation from Krafton, the gaming community is abuzz with speculations about the forthcoming event. The statements and rumors from influential figures within the community strongly suggest that an official tournament is underway, boasting a prize pool in the seven-digit range.
