Black Ops 6 is Coming to Game Pass, Says New Report

The Wall Street Journal is claiming that this year’s Call of Duty title, believed to be Black Ops 6 will be coming to Game Pass.

Past rumours have suggested that Microsoft has been heavily considering the move; however, WSJ claims that the company has made a decision.

“Microsoft plans a major shakeup of its videogame sales strategy by releasing the coming installment of Call of Duty to its subscription service instead of the longtime, lucrative approach of only selling it a la carte.”

This isn’t particularly new news, though, as earlier this month Sarah Bond revealed that every first-party game owned by Microsoft will be coming to Game Pass, including Call of Duty.Microsoft finalized its $68.7 billion deal to acquire Activision Blizzard in late 2023, with the publisher now owning the IP of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Diablo, and more.

Black Ops 6 will have an in-depth deep-dive following the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9.

According to recent leaks, the pre-order bonus for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 includes a brand-new operator for Modern Warfare 3—Woods. The iconic hero from the single-player campaign of the past few Black Ops titles returns, albeit a bit older and more gruff overall. He’s certainly seen better days, obviously, with scars and wrinkles littering his face.
