Call of Duty Black Ops 6 to Release October 25
According to a new report by The Verge, Activision is currently targeting a late October release for Call of Duty’s anticipated installment Black Ops 6.
October 18 would be considered mid-October. Given The Verge’s claims pointing to “late October”, this suggests that Black Ops 6 will likely drop on October 25, 2024. Flizzyy supported this date per a new tweet from yesterday:
Just today, the Wall Street Journal also reported that Microsoft is planning to release this year’s Call of Duty game on Game Pass. The report says that Microsoft will release “the coming installment of Call of Duty to its subscription service instead of the longtime, lucrative approach of only selling it a la carte.”
During an interview with Bloomberg, Sarah Bond already confirmed that every first party game would launch on Game Pass, including Call of Duty. Bond added that “you’re going to see some more really big games going into Game Pass later this year.”
Reports from dataminers also surfaced earlier this month suggesting that a Black Ops 6 reveal is coming this month. A datamined Call of Duty 2024 blueprint revealed “SALLY 6” in tallies, hinting at a major announcement potentially coming soon. This could line up properly with the development timeline of Black Ops 6.
Last February, Flizzyy also learned exclusive details that Call of Duty will embrace open world campaigns in future titles.
