Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 DMZ Zone Receives Revamp Through Season 1 Reloaded; Shipment Map Returns and More

Patch Notes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 have released, and the first thing players will notice is that there is a Warzone Cup Limited time mode. This mode will bring two teams of three operators to the Al Easima Field, rivals of Al Marzah’s football club.

In a Rocket League style, players will be able to use ATVs to push a massive football in the opposing team’s goal. Similar to Rocket League, players will also be able to boost through enemies or ram them out of the way. First team to score 5 goals or that has the highest score within 5 minutes will emerge victorious.

Warzone 2.0 DMZ Mode Changes

Players will see the DMZ mode heavily revamped through Season 1 Reloaded. Firstly in Trios the max players that can enter are 60 and Assimilation setting has been changed to up to 6 players per squad.

They have also introduced a new area called Building 21, but it still isn’t live yet. Players will find mysterious keys and Al Marzah and will have to figure where they lead. Limited intel on access to the biological laboratory known as Building 21 will take players outside of Al Mazrah and into a hyper-dangerous new area of DMZ.

Changes have been made to valuable items and cash rewards for contracts. Container spawn rates will now have increased self revives, gas masks, field upgrades, plate carriers and backpacks. Electronic components in Computer Towers, toothpastes in medical cabinet, and items found in Black Markets have been decreased.

Another new feature is plea for help, using which eliminated players will be able to request help from enemy players. This will allow them to join an enemy squad as a new player. On top of that, XP tokens can be activated from Main Lobby Menu, successfully extracting multiple times in a row will provide random perks for next Infil, medium and large backpacks are allowed for third weapon slot and faction missions have improved descriptions for better clarity.

Raid

Call of Duty’s first-ever raid has arrived in Atomgrad Episode 1. Players will get Raid episodes every season that will have a mix of combat and puzzle solving for trios. The narrative for these Raids will be spread across 5 seasons and will start off where players left off in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. Players will have to complete any of the 3 following tasks to receive a Raid Assignment:

  • Complete a specific Daily Challenge either in Multiplayer or Special Ops.
  • Place within the top 20 in any Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale Playlist.
  • In DMZ, use the final exfil helicopter with at least $30,000 in Cash.

After they have the Raid Assignment, they will have to complete it within a week. One of the three players need to have an active assignment to access the Raid. Players will get randomised drops from Raids, and will get a different reward for every playthrough, including a veteran mode.

Combat Records

Warzone 2.0 players will now have access to Combat Records when they arrive with Season 1 Reloaded. However, the statistics will be recorded from the activation date and not from when Season 1 launched. So, players only have access to total time played, kill/death ratios, killstreaks, and statistics post December 14, 2022.

LA Thieves Skin to Change

The LA Thieves Skin is an all black skin with just one small logo in the centre, which was making it very difficult for opposing players to find enemies with this skin. Through their latest blog post, they have released a revamped image of this skin which will make it more discernible. The revamped skin will have added colour tags on the eye wear and straps of the character. Check out the new look of the skin below:

Exoniz Exposes Himself on Stream

A Warzone player that was rumoured to use cheats, was seen participating in the Warzone World Classic Tournament. Many were already suspecting him for cheating, but he was still allowed to enter the tournament. During the tournament he tried to show his viewers on stream that he does not use cheats, but while moving the monitors around a menu popped up that looked very much like a cheat menu.

The player tried to pass it off by saying it was a glitch, but Twitch and Twitter caught on quickly and removed him from the platform. His teammate at the time, forpantheonn, defended him initially, but upon learning the truth, he was quick to apologise to the fans. Check out the video below:
