Asus has revealed its updated line of ROG products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The 2023 offerings by the company include additions to the ROG Flow, ROG Zephyrus, ROG Strix, and TUF Gaming series of laptops along with latest CPUs and GPUs. The updated laptops boast next-gen CPUs and GPUs along with an advanced thermal design dubbed âROG Intelligent Coolingâ and âbreathtakingâ Nebula displays.
For people unaware, ROG Flow series aims to offer âultra-versatile gamingâ with ultra-thin gaming devices that can adapt to any scenario. Asus offers an external attachment called XG Mobile that doubles both as an external GPU as well as a power adaptor and connectivity hub. Asus ROG Flow Z13
The 2023 ROG Flow Z13 (GZ301) features 13th-Gen Intel Core H-Series processors with Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs. Asus has also added a MUX Switch and Nvidia Advanced Optimus to the laptop along with a thermal capacity of 25W + 50W.
The ROG Intelligent Cooling system has added a vapor chamber here with 44% mainboard coverage. Liquid metal and arc flow fans ensure 0db ambient cooling. The laptop is thin and light, weighing just 1.1kg. As mentioned above, it supports XG Mobile and sports the ROG Nebula display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Other features related to the display include a 165Hz refresh rate, 500nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 touchscreen panel with Gorilla Glass DXC.
The ROG Flow Z13 comes with Type-A, Type-C, and MicroSD connectivity options. It also comes with Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6E. It has a full CNC-milled metal chassis and supports 56Wh fast charging with 130W through Type-C charging.
ROG Flow X13
The 2023 ROG Flow X13 (GV302), on the other hand, has a 360-degree convertible design and comes with dual channel system memory. Sharing most features with the Flow Z13, the X13 also comes with AMD Ryzen 9 processors, FHD IR camera with Windows Hello support, 75Wh fast charging, and Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) 2.0 stylus support.
ROG Flow X16
Coming to the 2023 ROG Flow X16 (GV601), Asus has upgraded the display to its latest ROG Nebula HDR panel. This panel offers a peak brightness of up to 12,000 nits along with a mini-LED panel option. Retaining most specs from the Flow X13, this device comes with Intel Core i9 H-series processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series mobile GPU. It weighs 2kg, supports 90Wh fast charging, and Thunderbolt 4 Type-C charging with up to 2TB SSD storage. The Flow X16 has Tri-fan Technology with Pulsar Heatsink. According to claims from Asus this technology will give precise airflow with ultra-dense fins.
