Destiny 2: Everything You Need to Know About Guardian Games 2022
Guardian Games, the limited-event for Destiny 2 in which players will be able to compete as Hunters, Guardians or Warlocks, will return in 2022 as well.
Following the triumphant victory of the Hunters last year, both Warlocks and Guardians will be vying for that top spot this year.
But, when will it start and what can players do this year?
To start off, Bungie has announced that Guardian Games will run between May 1 and May 24, which is just before the start of Season 17 in Destiny 2. The event revolves around the battle between the game’s classes, and players can contribute to the victory of their favorite class by scoring points.
The most important item of the event is Laurels, as it’s the currency that players will have to use in order to buy bounty challenges that award medals that provide points to a certain class. In order to earn these items, players will need to gain ability kills in all activities except for Crucible and Gambit. However, before players start farming for Laurels, they would need to make sure that they equip their Guardian Games Class Item.
Other than bounty challenges, players can also win medals through contender cards, which can be purchased using Laurels. Triumphs will also matter a lot in earning medals to score points as well. These medals will be stored in the Medal Case, and players will need to deposit them at the Podium, as they won’t be able to earn more if the Case is filled with it.
Just like last year, players will also have access to the Guardian Games playlist, which will allow them to play with their class members to earn a ton of points. Along with that, there will be new quests and challenges that will help a lot in scoring points as well.

Guardians will also have access to the new armor sets that they will have access to as part of the event. Plus, new leaks about the event suggest that players will also be able to earn rewards like an Exotic Ship and a Legendary SMG called The Title. Moreover, they can also earn Emblems, Shaders and other items as well.
The event will start in a couple of weeks, so gear up when the event goes online, as your class needs every contribution they can get to be victorious.
