LLS is the largest non-profit organization dedicated to creating a world without blood cancers. They fund ground-breaking research, provide personalized patient, family, and caregiver support, and drive change in public policies that affect cancer patients. The LLS and Esports Awards partnership will be centered around the #TiltCancer initiative which has been created to bring together community passions, gaming, and giving back.
Michael Ashford, the CEO of Esports Awards, commented: “It’s great to welcome The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to the Esports Awards family. 2022 is a big year for us so it’s an honor to bring on board such an incredible cause to join us on our journey. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for the charity with exclusive activations and donation incentives featuring some very special guests.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Esports Awards and welcome a new generation of supporters within the gaming space to the LLS community,” said Coker Powell, SVP, Chief Development Officer for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. “Engagement with the Esports gaming community is critical to helping LLS support the approximately 1.6 million people in the US living with or in remission from blood cancer. Funds raised through this partnership will help advance LLS’s mission to find cures and support all patients and families affected by a blood cancer diagnosis.”
