EVOS Esports’ Filipino import Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera shared that he wanted to join RRQ Hoshi, one of the powerhouse teams in Indonesia. The team secured a runner-up finish in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Indonesia (ID) Season 10 and will be joining ONIC Esports in the upcoming M4 World Championship. According to Dlar, if RRQ Hoshi’s veteran EXP Laner Rivaldi “R7” Fatah decides to retire from being a pro player, he would like to join the squad as the new EXP Laner. The Filipino import also shared his reason as to why he wants to join the RRQ squad.
EVOS Dlar expresses desire to join RRQ Hoshi if R7 Retires
Dlar is considered one of the most underutilized MLBB Filipino imports in Indonesia. Since the pro player’s demotion to EVOS Esports’ development team, the organization has been criticized for its decision. Fans also cite this decision as the reason for its upsetting performance in the MPL ID Season 10.
EVOS Esports may be looking to give Dlar another chance to enter the pro league, as revealed by . While fans are eagerly waiting for the next league season, Dlar, through shared that he wanted to join another team if one of its players retire.
“If R7 retires, I want to go to RRQ, guys.” said EVOS Esports’ Filipino import.
He also revealed his reason as to why he wants to join RRQ Hoshi. According to him, everyone on team has shown good performance in tournaments, especially Albert “Alberttt” Iskandar, whom he claims plays just like his former teammate, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol.
“The [Gold Laner] is good, the support is good too, Vyn is good, [and] Alberttt is also good like Kairi,” stated Dlar.
Kairi is currently playing under ONIC Esports Indonesia. The pro player also earned the regular season and grand finals MVP title in the MPL ID Season 10. Both Dlar and Kairi were former members of ONIC Philippines (PH) before the team released most of its members.
If R7 does retire, RRQ Hoshi has no shortage of potential talents like Andre “Banana” Putra and Edi “Justinnn” Susanto (also known as Yummy) who can fill the role of EXP Laner. EVOS Esports may also have plans to utilize its Filipino import in the upcoming MPL ID Season 11. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled on Dlar’s next MPL journey in 2023.
