Fantastic Four Reportedly Won’t Feature Doctor Doom as the Primary Villain; William Jackson Harper Casted in Ant Man 3 and More
For the past few weeks, we haven’t heard much about Marvel’s Fantastic Four project since it was postponed to 2025.
However recently, popular insider Jeff Sneider revealed a major scoop about the long-awaited film in The Hot Mic show with John Rocha by sharing that the Fantastic Four’s first foe will not be Doctor Doom.
The villainous Doctor Doom has always been at odds with the First Family of Marvel, and he has essentially become their primary antagonist. However, Sneider stated that he won’t be the main villain in the first film, as he will be teased in a credit scene of the MCU Phase 6 flick.
The character has long been rumored to make his debut in a post-credits scene of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. However, latest reports suggest that the MCU might be leading up to Doctor Doom potentially being the next big bad after Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: Secret Wars.
In other MCU news, The Good Place star William Jackson Harper has been casted in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, according to Variety.
Not much is known about Harper’s role in the film, as it’s an undisclosed part at the moment. However, social media platforms have erupted since the announcement was made, as the actor has been a prime fancast for the role of Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four.
With Richards’ connection to the scientific aspects of the Marvel world, the character would fit right into the Quantum-centric theme of the Ant-Man threequel, and it will be interesting to see if the fan-casting does become true or not.
