Gaming at Apple Dev Showcase Features Honkai: Star Rail, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, Lego Star Wars: Castaways, and More Mobile Games

Apple has wanted to be an integral part of the gaming industry for quite a long time. Many would not know, but Apple did try their hand at building a gaming console in 1995, called Apple Pippin, though it failed miserably. Post that, the company’s re-entry to the gaming scene came with the introduction of Apple’s new gaming subscription service, Apple Arcade.

As part of its recent efforts, Apple showcased its prowess with an event to show off its mobile gaming portfolio. This event was dubbed the “Gaming at Apple Dev Showcase”, where we saw titles such as Honkai: Star Rail, Lego Star Wars Castaway, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile and more.

Through a report by 9to5Mac, we learned about how the upcoming Call of Duty title will work on the latest iPhones. Many were skeptical about this as Warzone was massive in scale and porting it to mobile is not an easy task. But, through the showcase, we saw a pre-release version of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile running steadily on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The event also featured Honkai: Star Rail, which is the next big mobile title from Hoyoverse, the makers of Genshin Impact. The upcoming title is a turn-based, fantasy RPG which includes puzzle solving, exploration, bosses and more. The key detail about the game was that Apple users can expect ultra smooth gameplay with its lineup of mobile devices with 120 Hz refresh rate.

Lego Star Wars: Castways was also shown with upgraded visuals and more optimization. Lastly, we also got to learn more about a title that combines fitness and gaming called Run Legends.
