Geekay Esports Clinches PMPL MEA Championship Title in a Thrilling Finish
PMPL Middle East and Africa Championship Spring 2023 concluded with a thrilling display of skill and strategy from the top teams in the region. The tournament, held from June 14th to 17th, brought together 16 formidable teams competing for a chance to qualify for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023 and the lion’s share of the $150,000 USD prize pool.

Team Arab Golden Galaxy showcased their dominance from the start, while Nigma Galaxy’s Koops displayed his individual prowess. Crash Gaming Esports and Arab Golden Esports emerged as early leaders on the points table.
Day 2 saw underdogs like Vision Esports and Quest securing victories, but Nigma Galaxy and R8 Esports reclaimed the spotlight. Despite shake-ups, Crash Gaming, Arab Galaxy, and Geekay Esports held on to their positions.
Day 3 witnessed Crash Gaming’s strong start, Brute Force’s impressive performance, and Nigma Galaxy’s comeback. Geekay Esports showed resilience and closed the gap.
On Day 4, Nigma Galaxy’s dominant display faltered in the end, leading to Geekay Esports narrowly securing the championship title by a single point over Crash Gaming. Nigma Galaxy claimed a podium finish, while Geekay Esports will represent the region in the PUBG Mobile World League 2023.
Nigma Galaxy’s player Koops emerged as a standout performer, displaying exceptional individual skills throughout the tournament and added another MVP title under his belt.
The participating teams were determined through the PMPL Arabia Spring 2023 and PMPL Africa Spring 2023 tournaments. The top 10 teams from PMPL Arabia and the top 6 teams from PMPL Africa earned their spots in the championship. Over the course of four days, these teams battled it out in 24 matches, with six matches taking place each day.
Geekay Esports‘ victory in the PMPL Middle East and Africa Championship Spring 2023 means they will represent the region in the prestigious PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2023 which boats a ginormous prize pool of $3 million USD.
