Goldy and Sid Addresses Speculations Surrounding Snax and S8UL’s BGMI Lineup
Battlegrounds Mobile India star Raj “Snax” Varma expressed his desire to return to the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) esports scene. Snax, previously associated with teams like Team IND and Team XO, currently streams for S8UL Esports. This revelation has sparked speculation among fans about the possibility of Snax joining Team SouL. Lokesh “Goldy” Jain, co-founder of S8UL Esports, and Sid “Sid” Joshi, the team’s manager, shed some light on the matter.
Team SouL: Snax Unlikely to Join Despite Fan Speculations
During a live stream, Snax openly shared his wish to come back to BGMI esports since its return and expressed interest in participating in the rumored official tournament. However, Snax had taken a break from the game due to an injury, which forced him to step away from esports. During the ban on BGMI, Snax shifted his focus to streaming and tried out various titles like Valorant and GTA RolePlay.
Fans asked Goldy during one of his streaming sessions whether Snax could join Team SouL. Goldy promptly responded, mentioning Snax’s significant break from the game due to his injury. He explained that Snax had been a reliable option before the current Team SouL lineup was formed and emphasized that if the need for Snax arises in the future, the team would approach him. Snax, who was present during Goldy’s stream, agreed with his sentiments. However, he acknowledged that it was unlikely at the moment since the existing Team SouL lineup has been performing exceptionally well.
Team SouL, consisting of Sahil “Omega” Jakhar, Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, Sohail “Hector” Shaikh, Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, and Naman “Neyo,” coached by Amit Dubey and managed by Sid, has been experiencing significant success. Sid, during his own livestream, touched upon the topic of Snax in Team SouL. He expressed confidence in the current winning lineup and highlighted Neyo, a promising young player. Sid stated that Snax’s addition is not required at the moment, not due to doubts about his performance, but because the current Team SouL roster is already excelling. It’s worth noting that Team SouL emerged victorious in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series – Season 1 with their current lineup.
While Snax continues his search for a competitive team, it is clear that he will not be joining Team SouL. Snax intends to compete in BGMI esports before undergoing surgery in December, after which he will need further rest. His primary focus remains on finding the right team for his return to BGMI esports.
