Android players can rejoice, as they now have a new way to enjoy their favourite titles. Earlier in 2022, Google announced the arrival of Google Play Games to PC. But it was only available for users in Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, and Australia. Through the latest announcement, we have learned that Google Play Games beta will now be available for players in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore from November 2, 2022.

Players can play the following games on PC through a standalone application; 1945 Air Force, Blade Idle, Cookie Run: Kingdom, and Evony: The King’s Return. There are dozens more that players will be able to experience through PC. Additionally, their progress will be synced for all devices. Furthermore, players will be able to seamlessly transition to PC from Mobile without worrying about losing their progress.

On top of that, players will also be able to earn rewards as they play through Google Play Points. Through this feature, players will be able to earn points from anything they purchase with Google Play Games. These include in-app purchases and subscriptions. Once a sufficient amount has been racked up, players can redeem it through PC or Mobile.

Here are the minimum requirements to run Google Play Games on a PC:

  • Windows 10 (v2004)
  • Solid state drive (SSD)
  • Gaming-class GPU
  • 8 logical cores of CPU
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • 20 GB of available storage space
  • Windows admin account
  • Hardware virtualisation must be turned on
  • Compatible PC device and configuration

Here’s what Arjun Dayal, Director at Google Play Games, said about the announcement:

We’re thrilled to expand our platform to more markets for players to enjoy their favorite games on Google Play. As we move towards a full release, we will continue to add new features and evaluate developer and player feedback.
