Hamez Returns as Raux Departs From Team Secret’s Wild Rift Roster

Team Secret has let go of its support player Jordan “Raux” Pamintuan from its League of Legends: Wild Rift roster. The pro player is a former member of DR Esports and is one of the most popular streamers in the Philippines. Raux replaced the team’s former captain and support specialist who decided to take a brief hiatus from the Wild Rift esports scene. Raux fought valiantly alongside Team Secret but the squad could not live up to the expectations of the fans. While Team Secret previously dominated the Wild Rift Philippines Pro Gaming League (PPGL) 2021, the team lost its momentum shortly after finishing 3rd-4th place in the Wild Rift Horizon Cup.

Hamez returns as Team Secret’s coach

With Raux’s departure from the team, a familiar face decided to return to the Wild Rift esports scene. A YouTube video was posted by Team Secret titled “WHAT HAPPENED TO ONE OF THE BEST CAPTAINS IN WILD RIFT? | A NEW ERA,”. The video revealed that Hamez is planning to return to the team as the new coach.

“I think I could guide the team well with the knowledge I have,” Hamez stated in the video.

He added that “my style as a coach is like I’m a very strict one, so I can discipline the players and I can help them grow better.”

Hamez is arguably one of the best team captains in the Wild Rift esports scene. The pro player spearheaded his team to dominate the Wild Rift PPGL 2021 and secure a slot in the Horizon Cup 2021. However, he decided to take a break from the esports scene due to personal issues. Despite the team showing promise in the international scene, Team Secret only managed to finish in 3rd-4th place at the world championship event.

It shall be most interesting to see if the former King of Philippines Wild Rift esports is able to reclaim its throne in future tournaments.
