TeamXSpark aims to achieve a top 3 rank in the SPS New State Mobile Open India

Hector recently announced that he will be taking a break from the game to focus on preparing for the ongoing Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) New State Mobile Open India. In this tournament, he is playing as an in-game leader (IGL) for the Team XSpark, who were one of the 16 directly invited teams in the Challenger Stage.

In a recent livestream, Hector revealed that TeamXSpark’s performance in the Challenger Stage was mediocre, and in order to perform well in the New State Mobile Open India, they needed to play properly. He stated that there are only ten days left for the main event and he plans to achieve a top 3 rank in the tournament. “We need to perform well in the New State Mobile Open India. We qualified (for the next stage), but our rank was low. If we are investing so much time in the game, then we should play properly. I told my team that there are only ten days left for the New State Mobile Open India. If we play the game properly for these ten days, we might make it to the top 3. We might make it,” he said.

He went on to explain that BGMI teams have an upper hand in the tournament over New State Mobile teams due to their exposure to BGMI LAN events. “New State Mobile teams are good, no doubt, but they do not have the experience that BGMI teams carry. So it is easy for us to handle LAN, the LAN pressure and all because of the LAN experience. So it will be easy for us,” he said.

In a recent meeting with the team leader Scout, Hector and the rest of the TeamXSpark players discussed their performance in the tournament. Scout expressed that the players had played the qualifiers and other stages unseriously. He asked the players to focus on New State Mobile and aim to achieve a top 3 rank in the tournament.

Hector agreed with Scout and decided to focus completely on New State Mobile, as dividing his attention between the game and his BGMI streams would have a bad impact on the team as he is the IGL. He plans to grind and practice all day to improve his map knowledge, gun power and everything else, so as to improve the team’s chances of success in the tournament.

TeamXSpark has qualified for the Challenger Finals of the SPS New State Mobile Open India, which will take place on 26th and 27th January. The tournament will feature 24 qualified teams, and the top 16 teams will move forward to the Grand Finals. The tournament has a large prize pool of ₹1,00,00,000 INR, roughly $122,811 USD which will be distributed among the top 24 teams, with the winner receiving the largest share of $24,000 (₹19,53,668).
