While playing League of Legends: Wild Rift you may have some great games and some terrible ones. Like its PC counterpart, not every team member will always perform, even if you end up playing with one or more friends. When that happens, surrendering and moving on to the next game of Wild Rift is always an option. This not only saves you time otherwise spent in an unwinnable game but also minimizes tilt. Surrendering in Wild Rift may not be intuitive to some players since the option is hidden away in the menus. Here is how you can surrender in Wild Rift.

How to Surrender in Wild Rift

When in a situation where the enemy team is so far ahead and you’re clearly staring at a loss, it’s best to not delay the inevitable. To prevent further tilt it’s best to keep calm and surrender.

To surrender in Wild Rift tap the Settings tab (gear icon) while in the match.

Tap the surrender button, located at the bottom of the screen.

You will need a clear majority vote (4-1) to surrender in Wild Rift. Unfortunately, a 3-2 vote does not count as a surrender. If the surrender vote goes through, the game will end and you are free to either start fresh or take a break.

In Wild Rift, players can only surrender after 5 minutes (300 seconds) in the game, unlike its PC counterpart where you have to wait for at least 15 minutes to surrender.

If your team refuses to surrender, as unpleasant as it may seem, make sure to play the game through since leaving a match before it ends may result in AFK penalties. The first AFK penalty for 3-6 minutes AFK is 10 minutes. If you’ve been AFK for more than six minutes, the penalty is 20 minutes long. Further AFK penalties within a week of your first offence are 6 hours long.
