Johnny Depp Won’t Return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Another Pirates of the Caribbean Movie
Over the years, Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has played some iconic characters, but none have gotten more prominence than the one and only Captain Jack Sparrow.
The actor played the legendary character in multiple movies over the years for the Disney franchise, which has grossed billions at the box office. However, following the turbulent period that Depp has gone through, he believes that Disney has no interest in bringing him for another run at the character.
Depp’s currently embroiled in a legal battle with Amber Heard, after he sued his former wife for $50 million by claiming that she made wrongful accusations against him in an op-ed piece back in 2018.
Rottenborn shows #JohnnyDepp a headline that appeared in Oct. 2018, 2 months before #AmberHeard‘s op-ed.

During Depp’s cross-examination by Heard’s attorney, the actor was asked about another piece, which pointed out that Disney didn’t have any interest in bringing the actor to play in the sixth installment of the franchise to which he replied:
Depp further mentioned that even though he wasn’t invited for Pirates of the Caribbean VI, Disney continued to use his character in their theme rides and other merchandises to earn more.
In the end, when Johnny Depp was asked by Heard’s attorney on whether or not he would return to play the character again if Disney offered him “$300 million and a million alpacas,” the actor replied negatively.
It’s unclear how Depp’s court battle with Heard will end up. However, fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean will be disheartened to hear this revelation from Johnny Depp, as he was the heart and sould of the franchise
