Krafton Disqualifies 13 More BGMI Teams From BGIS 2024

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 Round 1 qualifiers have concluded with underdog teams as well as seasoned teams dominating the matches. Round 1 saw 1024 teams compete and before the second round’s commencement, Krafton released a list of teams that were disqualified from the event.

Krafton has revealed that the teams have been disqualified for carrying out cheating and ringing activities.

Krafton disqualifies 13 more teams for ringing and cheating

Over 1024 teams participated in Round 1 online qualifiers and 480 of them advanced to play in Round 2 of BGIS 2024. Many teams faced elimination from the event due to hackers and cheaters in their qualifying matches. 

Following several community concerns, Krafton India Esports took strict action against multiple teams competing in BGIS 2024, ahead of Round 2. Krafton has now again released another list of teams that have been disqualified from BGIS 2024 Round 1, ahead of Round 2.

Krafton made a statement on its Instagram handle and said,“We regret to inform you that certain teams have been disqualified from Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 due to violations of our competition rules. These violations include the use of unauthorized devices and engaging in ringing activities. At BGIS, integrity and fairness are at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to maintaining a fair and competitive environment for all participants. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to uphold the highest standards in our competitions.”

“During a round of our investigations, we have confirmed that INFLAME ESPORTS, INFORM ESPORTS, BLACK BULLS, TEAM XPERT, FLY HIGH, TEAM TEASERS, IPS ESPORTS, NIXE ESPORTS, TEAM FEARLESS FORCE, EXCUSE ESPORTS, CRINGE ESPORTS, FEAR THE WRATH, RUTHLESS ESPORTS have violated BGIS competition rules through use of unauthorized devices and engaging in ringing activities.”

According to the 6.2.4 section of the BGIS 2024 Rulebook, “Playing under another player’s account or Gamertag, or soliciting or inducing someone else to play under another player’s account or GamerTag, is prohibited.”

The above-mentioned teams for now have just faced disqualification from Krafton and it is yet to be seen if any further action will be taken.
