Krutika Talks About Possible Esports Comeback After BGMI Return

Most female personalities in India when it comes to mobile gaming have started their careers as either streamers or content creators. However, there are a handful that took their first steps as a competitive gamer and one of the more popular ones is Krutika “Krutika Plays” Ojha.

Krutika was forced to turn towards content creation following the ban imposed against BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) by the Indian Government. With news about the game’s speculated return doing the rounds, she recently expressed her thoughts about potentially returning to playing competitively once again, during a conversation with Aaditya “Dynamo” Sawant.

Krutika reveals that a potential esports return could be on the cards once BGMI returns

Dynamo has been hosting an esports and gaming focussed podcast called Gamers Unplugged on Spotify and he hosted Krutika as the guest during its latest episode. They spoke on a variety of topics related to her life around the gaming industry and during one such segment the 23-year-old gave some hints about her possible return to esports once BGMI returns.

Krutika revealed that she recently spoke to Siddhant “SID” Josh and Raj “Snax” Verma about this and expressed that she was keen on grinding the game following its return but would not be able to dedicate a lot of time towards it.

“I remember I used to give 7 to 8 hours to training grounds, classic, and all earlier when I used to play the game competitively. So, I would not be able to give that much time now, but I will try, and even if am able to play 60% of what I used to then it would be something new for my audience as well,” explained Krutika.

She explained that after turning to content creation she had left behind the esports scene completely and used to play all the games without any tension in a very chill mood. Now, she is ready for a change and desires to be in that competitive state of mind again, missing aggression and tenacity while playing games.

“I might go for esports, if I’m able to grind a bit, other than that once the game returns there will be no one happier than me because I’m a legit hardcore gamer. This is where I started so content creation is fine, but being a hardcore gamer I’m just waiting for it (BGMI) to return,” said Krutika.

: The related segment start from 00:52 onwards.

Krutika is a part of S8UL Esports and is one of the top female creators and streamers from India. She enjoys a following of more than 645,000 subscribers on YouTube, 314,000 followers on Instagram, and 147,000 followers on Loco.

It will be interesting to see how she manages her current work and her potential esports grind once BGMI returns. Also, if the time comes to choose between the two where do you think her priority will lie?
