M5 World Championship Officially Confirmed to Be Held in the Philippines

After four world series tournaments, Moonton has officially confirmed that the Philippines shall host this year’s M5 World Championship event. This was revealed amidst the M4 World Championship grand finale hype where ECHO and Blacklist International battled for the championship title. The M5 World Championship is scheduled to be held sometime in December where the top-tier Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams from around the world will gather once again and compete for the prestigious world championship title. The M5 World Championship will be the first-ever MLBB world series event to be held in the country. Moonton is yet to reveal the exact date and venue of the tournament.

There is no doubt that the Philippines has some of the strongest teams in the MLBB esports scene. This was proven by teams such as Bren Esports, Blacklist International, and ECHO who racked trophies in M2, M3, and M4 World Championships respectively.

A short teaser has been posted on the official YouTube channel of MLBB, revealing that the M5 World Championship will be held in the Philippines.

Moonton is yet to reveal more details about the upcoming world series event. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more updates in the future.

Aside from the world series event, Moonton has also revealed its esports plans for 2023. For the first half of the year, teams shall vie for a slot in the MLBB Southeast Asia Championship (MSC) 2023 before the grind for the M5 World Championship slot commences.

Other tournaments such as the SEA (South East Asia) Games 2023, World Cyber Games (WCG), and Snapdragon Pro Series will also be held this year as part of Moontons goals for expanding the MLBB esports scene.
