According to Sports Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia
“MP has evolved into a sports mecca.” “The goal of establishing the Esports Academy is to promote all such sports that have a presence in the Asian Games and Olympics,” Scindia explained. “MP’s Break Dance and Esports Academy are the first such academies in the country that will give the youth an opportunity to hone their skills in these new sports in addition to traditional sports,” she said.
Esports is getting huge recognition in India from adding esports to multi-sport events, and other states like Bihar have officially introduced esports and promised to give a boost to esports in the state.
MP Esports Academy will provide a stage and good training for emerging esports athletes since esports will participate in the Olympic Games, and esports is now officially a medal sport at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026.
