National Esports Championships 2023 Dates Revealed by ESFI for Esports Titles Including CS:GO, DOTA 2, eFootball, and Tekken 7


The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has just announced the dates for the National Esports Championship 2023 (NESC). NESC 2023 will be the deciding factor for the selection of participants for the Indian contingent, who will be representing the country at the 15th World Esports Championships (WEC) in Iasi, Romania.

NESC 2023 Dates Revealed

The preliminary rounds of the NESC 2023 are scheduled to take place between March 14 to March 19 and the Grand Finals for the same will take place on March 24. India’s best Esports athletes will be competing across 4 titles – CS:GO, DOTA 2, eFootball, and Tekken 7. There are also qualifiers for female athletes in CS:GO, which will be conducted by ESFI.

Upon winning the NESC 2023, the participants’ next obstacle would be the regional qualifiers. Here they will battle against contingents from other countries across Asia and Oceania regions. The dates for this competition will be revealed on a later date.

The 15th edition of WEC is something players will be looking forward to, as it has a massive prize pool of $500,000. The finals of WEC 15 will take place between August 24 and September 4, 2023.

Registrations for NESC 2023

Interested players will be able to register for NESC 2023 from today March 1, till March 10, 2023. For more details on the registration process, players can checkout ESFI’s Discord server.

“This is set to be the biggest ever year for Indian Esports where the country will be competing for glory at the Asian Games, Olympic Esports Week, Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games, and the 15 th World Esports Championships. ESFI is excited to not only witness the high pulsating action of the qualifiers but to also conduct these qualifiers for the country’s talented female athletes for the very first time and see them represent the country at the biggest Esports tournament on the globe. The official recognition of Esports as a multi-sport event has brought about a paradigm shift that has kickstarted the golden era of video-gaming in the country. We wish all the athletes competing in the qualifiers the very best and are confident that they will make the country proud at the WEC 2023,”
