Need for Speed Unbound to Have Streetwear at Its Core, Palace Edition to Be Centered Around the Popular Clothing Brand


Need for Speed Unbound has had every arcade racing fan talking about the upcoming title’s aesthetics that heavily features the street.

From racing dangerously in narrow alleys to graffiti designs used as decals for the cars, Unbound seems to be inspired by the older hits of the series including the Underground and Most Wanted titles.

Need for Speed Unbound’s links to the streets is at the max with the Palace edition of the title, which was announced by the developers at Criterion yesterday.

In a new blog post, the developers detailed the partnership they have with the popular streetwear brand to bring its fashion into the game for players to use. The London-based company will provide exclusive items for players with this edition including driving effects, custom cars, ‘Palifornia’ license plate, iconic tri-ferg character pose and banner artwork.

The Palace edition will come with four custom cars designed by the company that will have opponents stare you in jealousy as you drive past them. The list of custom cars includes:

  • Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series 2020
  • Volkswagen Golf GTI 1976
  • BMW M3 Evolution II E30 1988
  • Mercedes-AMG G 63 2017

The exclusive partnership will also give players clothing items like Palace Vans, caps, beanie, motorsports styled jackets, tops including polos, tshirts, hoodies, long sleeve and shirt, and bottoms including Palace Woodland & Desert Cargo Short, track shorts, and joggers.

The Need for Speed Unbound Palace Edition is currently available to pre-order for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the EA app, Origin, Steam and Epic Game Store for $79.99. The Palace Edition will drop on November 29, which will give players three days of early access.
