Netflix Games has announced that it is adding Kentucky Route Zero and Twelve Minutes to its mobile games line up.
Kentucky Route Zero is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Cardboard Computer and published by Annapurna Interactive.
Act I of the game released in January 2013, and the game concluded with the release of Act V in January 2020. The mobile version on the Netflix app will feature all five chapters of the game.
awarded the game a score of 8 out of 10 in its review, writing that Kentucky Route Zero “is a beautiful poetry generator in the body of a point-and-click adventure game. It’s frequently stunning to look at and beautifully written throughout.”
On the other hand, Twelve Minutes is developed by Luís António and published by Annapurna Interactive. It came out in August last year to mostly positive reviews by critics.
The game takes place in a small apartment where the protagonist is stuck in a ten-minute time loop. Players must solve a mystery before the time resets to complete the game.
also gave Twelve Minutes a score of 8 out of 10 in its review, calling it a “compelling time-loop mystery into a traditional point-and-click adventure game to create original gameplay that complements its story’s curiosity factor.”
Netflix has also announced that its subscribers will be able to play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and Vikings: Valhalla in 2023.
