Orangutan Gaming might sign a Southeast Asian Pokemon Unite roster
In a recent livestream, Hades revealed that he was actively working on signing a Pokemon Unite roster for Orangutan Gaming. He revealed that he had already applied for a Malaysian visa to facilitate the signing on Monday and plans to travel to Malaysia in just a couple of days if the visa is approved. He also expressed his hope that the visa will be approved promptly so the signing can go ahead as planned. However, he acknowledged that if his visa application is rejected, there will be a delay in signing the roster.
Interestingly, Hades’ Instagram Stories suggest that he has already arrived in Malaysia, indicating that the signing process might be already underway. Hades traveling to Malaysia to sign the roster has raised speculation that Orangutan Gaming could be looking to sign a Malaysian or Southeast Asian roster. While details about the roster remain scarce, Orangutan Gaming fans are eagerly anticipating the announcement of the new team.
Previously, Hades revealed that Orangutan Gaming has decided to change its Free Fire region as there seems to be no point in continuing Free Fire in India due to the ban. He emphasized that the organization wants its players to go to other regions and represent them. Hades further revealed that the organization has the option to shift to one of two regions for their Free Fire esports operations, but Hades did not disclose the names of these regions. He mentioned that on one server, three players could play, while on the other, only two players could play, but the second server was better.
Since its inception in August 2021, Orangutan Gaming has become one of the most prominent esports organizations in the Indian esports community. The organization has fielded rosters across multiple games, including Free Fire, Valorant, and Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). With its entry into Pokemon Unite esports, it will be exciting to see what more feats it achieves.
