PlayStation 5 Revised Model To Be Released on September 15, 2022 According To Recent Leak
The PlayStation 5 is easily the most popular console on the planet and this because of all the next-gen upgrades, the DualSense controllers and marginalised availability of the console. Recently we learned that Sony has decided to increase the prices of the PlayStation 5 and stated the reason for this move as “continued inflation and other global economic troubles“. This move hasn’t been appreciated by the players as the competition, Xbox and Nintendo have stated that they have no intentions of increasing their pricing.
Another intriguing revelation has been found making the rounds of social media recently. News about a new PlayStation 5 revised model has been circulating heavily and it seems this console will get a desired upgrade. In the previous revisions we saw the console losing 300 grams in weight, they upgraded the heatsink and also changed the base’s screw. In the new revision is assumed that Sony could add the speculated 6nm processor and also solve one of the biggest woes of the players, make the availability of the console easier. The next revised model will be reported dubbed as PS5 CFO-1200 series.

Players should know that this information comes from a rumour and not an official source, so players should consume this information with a grain of salt. Twitter User Renka noticed that Japanese websites were ready to launch the new PS5 on September 15, 2022, as the authorities in the country had approved the console in May of 2022. Another piece of information for the revised model is that it will be sold with the price increase that was announced by Sony recently.
The players have mixed opinions about this revision and the price increase that comes along with it. Some understand that the 6nm processor could also be an additional cost, but in turn will also help with making the console’s availability better as this processor is more readily available than the others. Other players feel that the revisions are nothing great and certainly do not warrant a price increase. Check out the Reddit post below:
