Day 1 of Upthrust Esports Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGMI) Challengers Showdown Grand Finals has concluded with seasoned squads dominating the event. The upcoming team of Reckoning Esports was the most consistent team on Day 1 of the event. Some of the seasoned teams like Godlike Esports, Medal Esports, Team 8Bit and Entity Gaming also showed consistent performances on the first day of the Grand Finals.
The event will see 16 teams compete for a spot in the Grand Finals.
Reckoning Esports grabs top spot after Day 1 of the Grand Finals
The upcoming squad of Reckoning Esports dominated Day 1 of the Grand Finals and was placed at the top of the table. The team’s consistent performance across matches helped it grab a total of 98 points along with 3 chicken dinners, 48 of which came via finishes. Viper from Reckoning Esports was the top performer for the team with 17 finishes. Medal Esports placed second, it also put forth good fights and grabbed 51 points along with 1 chicken dinner.
The seasoned squad of Team 8Bit was placed third, it showed aggressive gameplay and scored 44 points, 34 of which came via finishes. Godlike Esports placed fourth and got 41 points and 1 chicken dinner. Entity Gaming placed fifth and got 41 points. Gujarat Tigers placed sixth and scored 38 points. Global Esports placed seventh and got 38 points, 32 of which came via finishes. Revenant Esports placed eighth and got 29 points, 20 of which came via finishes.

A few seasoned teams like Team Tamilas, Team XSpark, Carnival Gaming and iQOO Soul could not put forth consistent performances and were placed in the second half of the points table. These teams will now have 12 matches to climb into the top 5 and have a shot at the championship.
