In a recent interview with The Wrap, creator Justin Roiland shared his feelings about wanting to continue working on the series till the end of time, as he believes that that the Adult Swim series could run forever.

Following a successful run of three seasons with Adult Swim, Rick and Morty was renewed for an additional 70 episodes in 2018 that would release as part of an unspecified number of seasons. With the series debuting its sixth season later this week, creator Dan Harmon believes the show is here to stay.

Harmon mentioned that the showrunners never intended to have some sort of conclusion for Rick and Morty, which means that the series has the legs to go the distance.
