RRQ Kazu, Thorrad and POCO Star Qualify for Free Fire World Series 2023

The Free Fire Masters League Season 8 Indonesia was one of the toughest competitions in recent times. It provided fans with intense battles throughout all the phases of the event. The Grand Finals of the event saw 12 teams competing and the top two teams from the Grand Finals also earned a spot in the Free Fire World Series 2023 event.

Thorrad placed first and RRQ Kazu placed second in the Grand Finals and grabbed a spot in the Free Fire World Series 2023. POCO Star topped the League Stage of the tournament and earned its spot in the Free Fire World Series 2023 event.

Free Fire Masters League Season 8 Grand Finals Overview

Thorrad placed first with 117 points. It had 54 kill points, 55 placement points and 8 Headstart points along with 2 Booyahs. It acquired the First Raiders Eclipse roster and was crowned the champion in its first official event. The roster was also the runner up in the previous edition of the Free Fire Masters League.Ā 

RRQ Kazu placed second with 93 total points. It had 43 kill points, 40 placement points and 10 Headstart points along with 2 Booyahs. It was the most consistent squad across all the teams in the event as it had also dominated the previous stages of the tournament. Aby Siliwangi “Abay” Jaya Kusuma from RRQ Kazu was awarded with the Predator award for his 160 eliminations and 111,878 damage.

POCO Star placed third spot with 74 points. It had 35 kill points, 36 placement points and 3 Headstart points but no Booyahs. The team showed consistency in the league stage as well as the Grand Finals of the event. The squad was placed in the top 3 without a Booyah which says a lot about their performance.Ā 

Bigetron Delta, Evos Divine and Dewa United placed fourth, fifth and sixth respectively. The teams were separated only by a couple of points. Onic Olympus had dominated the Semi Finals of the event and even had a head start of 14 points but was unable to put forth a good performance in the Grand Finals and ended up in seventh place.

The Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 is set to feature the top 18 squads from various regions to compete for the prestigious title. The event will take place in Thailand and will commence on 10th November and conclude on 26th November 2023.
