RSG PH to Compete in the MSC 2022 Without Coach Panda

RSG PH’s iconic head coach Brian “Panda” Lim will not be leading the squad in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022. In exchange, the assistant coach Karl “Giee” Barrientos will lead the crowned champion of the Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) Philippines (PH) Season 9 in the upcoming MSC 2022 tournament. The MSC 2022 will kick off with a group stage, RSG PH is placed in Group B alongside its sister team from Singapore and See You Soon. The Southeast Asia (SEA) esports event will be held at a physical location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 11th June.

Coach Panda to miss out on MSC 2022

RSG PH’s head coach is one of the most iconic personalities in the MLBB esports scene. Panda is widely known for his iconic notebook where he simulates drafting strategies and figures out the most optimal way to maximize the team’s potential.

However, the announced that the head coach will not be joining RSG PH while competing for the SEA championship event.

Through a report from , Panda explained that “no worries, it’s nothing serious. RSG PH will make an announcement.”

The iconic coach also commented under the roster announcement teasing the fans that he is “Brewing something for 10 [MPL PH Season 10].”

Unlike the regional MLBB leagues such as the MPL PH, the MSC 2022 only allows up to six players per team. Due to this limitation, the MPL PH Season 9 champions signed its five main players Dylan “Light” Catipon, Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, Arvie “Aqua” Calderon, Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto, and Eman “EMANN” Sangco to compete in the tournament. The veteran player Dexter “Exort” Martinez will be joining the renowned Kingslayers as a substitute player.

Coach Giee will be taking up the mantle of the team’s coach, in place of Panda, for the upcoming MSC 2022.

It will be interesting to see how Coach Giee will manage the team as it competes in the upcoming SEA event.
