It has been over two months since the removal of BGMI from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Apart from the removal and confirmation from MietY that the game is blocked under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000, there has been no official announcement. Since BGMI was removed, it has started to lose its hype slowly. When viewers asked Naman “Mortal” Mathur about the game’s return and his future plans, he assured them that the game would come back and revealed his future plans for the game.
S8UL Mortal talked about BGMI’s return and his future plans for the game.
Mortal revealed that BGMI is not blocked permanently and assured that it would come back eventually. However, he further mentioned that he does not have any clue about when, how, and what will happen. Following this, he revealed that he is focusing on game diversification.
Mortal said, “BGMI has not gone permanently, but I don’t know when it will happen, what will happen and how it will happen. I don’t know what’s going on. I haven’t got any update.” He added, “Currently, I am fully engrossed in game diversification.”
When another viewer asked whether he would leave BGMI and stick to other games, he revealed that he wouldn’t leave it but play it for two hours per day and dedicate the remaining time to other games.
S8UL Mortal said, “I won’t leave the game. See, when BGMI comes I will give two hours per day, and I will give the remaining time to other games.”
The lack of announcement from Krafton and the government has created uncertainty regarding the game’s return in the community. A lot of creators, including Maxtern and Casetoo, have already quit the game, and others have made plans for their future if the game does not come back. Furthermore, founder and CEO of Global Esports, Rushindra Sinha, recently revealed that he is concerned about the game’s return. It will be tough for Krafton to maintain the game’s hype amid such uncertainty. It will be exciting to see how the company tackles this problem.
