Silent Hill 2 Gets Release Date And Trailer At State of Play
Bloober Team and Sony have released a new trailer for the Silent Hill 2 remake. The trailer debuted during the PlayStation State of Play event on Thursday, and gave a new look into the game for players.
In addition to the trailer, it has been confirmed that the game will launch on October 8, 2024, exclusively on PS5. It also won’t require an always-online connection to play.
“Having received a letter from his deceased wife, James heads to where they shared so many memories, in the hope of seeing her one more time: Silent Hill,” the trailer’s description reads. “There, by the lake, he finds a woman eerily similar to her…
“‘My name… is Maria,’ the woman smiles. Her face, her voice… She’s just like her. Experience a master-class in psychological survival horror―lauded as the best in the series―on the latest hardware with chilling visuals and visceral sounds.”
When it releases in October, Silent Hill 2 will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC. It’s currently available for pre-order for $69.99.
