Stellar Blade PC Version Being ‘Considered’ as Sales Exceed Expectations
It was recently revealed that Stellar Blade’s developer, ShiftUp, is considering a PC version of the game – as well as a sequel. In a report published on a South Korean website (and shared by KAMI on Twitter), it’s detailed that ShiftUp will continue to expand and plans to release a new game every two or three years. Currently, the studio is working on a new IP called Project Witches which will be a cross-platform game spread between mobile, PC, and console platforms.
Stellar Delivery
It has been reported that Stellar Blade is ‘exceeding expectations’ where sales are concerned. In certain regions, the game has sat at the top of the charts since being released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on April 26. This at-times controversial post-apocalyptic slasher has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame in recent weeks, something that has really put ShiftUp on the map.
Like other PlayStation-exclusive games, fans have been requesting that Stellar Blade makes its way onto PC – and ShiftUp is at least considering that concept. Most recently, Ghost of Tsushima hit Steam and racked up big numbers despite having some niggling issues.
There’s a drive at ShiftUp to bolster the team and hire more developers as the fresh projects surface over time. It isn’t just new games, though – ShiftUp reportedly wants to secure existing IP and buy out some brands. It just hasn’t been confirmed what.
