T1 Releases Entire Wild Rift Roster

One of the biggest teams in the League of Legends (LoL): Wild Rift esports scene, T1, has officially released its roster. The esports organization is yet to confirm if it shall sign new members for future tournaments or if it shall disband. T1 previously won the Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK) 2022: Preseason Invitational but only finished in third place at the Spring season league, barely securing a spot for the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship 2022. The team crawled its way up in the play-ins stage of the world championship series but could not keep its momentum going and was eliminated shortly in the group stage.

T1 let go of its Wild Rift team roster

Through a Twitter post on 29th July, one of the biggest esports organizations in the world, T1 announced the departure of its Wild Rift team roster.

In the post, the esports organization captioned, “The journey of our Wild Rift team ends here. We truly appreciate the contribution that ‘Jun’, ‘JJong’, ‘JY’, ‘Core’, ‘BDG’, and ‘PenGuin’ have brought to T1.”

While T1 is considered to be one of the top contenders in the LoL PC esports scene, its mobile MOBA division has struggled to achieve the same level of dominance. Back in 2021, T1 only finished in third place at the WCK 2021, locking it from joining the Horizon Cup 2021. The same situation happened in the next season with T1 finishing in third place again in the WCK 2022. However, with the expanded slots for the Icons 2022, the team was able to secure a slot for the play-ins stage. However, T1 struggled to keep up with teams from other regions and was eliminated from the group stage of the world series event.

T1 is yet to confirm whether it will be revamping its roster with new players or will it officially disband its Wild Rift division to focus on other esports titles. This is similar to the American esports organization with no news on whether it shall be returning with new members for future tournaments.

While the return of T1 in the Wild Rift esports scene is yet to be confirmed, fans are hoping to see the Korean squad back in action when the second season officially begins.
