Upthrust Esports BGMI Challengers Showdown Season 2: Teams, Format, Prize Pool and More

Upthrust Esports has unveiled its fifth Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) event in the 2024 season named Challengers Showdown. The event will see well known and seasoned teams like iQOO Soul, Carnival Gaming, Team 8Bit, Godlike Esports, and more competing. The event boasts a prize pool of INR 9 Lakhs with prize money for the Semi Finals stage and individual performances. The event had open qualifiers for upcoming teams with over 2048 slots.

Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown event detailed

The Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown event will see 32 teams competing. The Week of Redemption will be played from 6th to 8th May, the Eliminator Week will be played from 13th to 15th May, the Semi Finals will be played from 20th to 22nd May and the Grand Finals will be played from 27th to 29th May. The Redemption Week will have 32 teams divided into 4 groups of 8 each competing and the bottom 24 teams will play the Eliminator Week while the top 8 move directly to the Semi Finals.

Prize Pool 

The event boasts a prize pool of INR 9 Lakhs. The prize pool is divided into three stages, INR 2 Lakhs for the Redemption Week, INR 2 Lakhs for the Semi Finals and INR 5 Lakhs for the Grand Finals. The event also has prize money for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the event.

The Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown event will be live streamed on the official and the from 6th May, 12 PM onwards.

The event is a good opportunity for some of the upcoming teams like Redzone Esports, Team Psyche, GenxFM and THW Esports to showcase their skills against the seasoned squads. iQOO Soul, Godlike Esports, Revenant Esports and Team Tamilas will be the teams to watch out for as they have put forth consistent and aggressive performances.
