Esports star Karel “Twisten” Asenbrener, who played for the professional Valorant team Guild Esports, has died at the age of 19. Asenbrener’s death was announced on Twitter by Guild Esports on June 7, 2023. The cause of death is still a mystery. The professional VALORANT player’s last tweet was “Good Night”.
Twisten was born in Austria in 2004. He began playing Valorant in 2020 and quickly rose through the ranks of the competitive scene. In 2022, he joined Team Vitality and helped the team win the VCT Masters Reykjavik tournament. In his Valorant esports career, he has won approx $12,662.
Asenbrener was known for his aggressive playstyle and his ability to clutch out difficult rounds. He was also a popular figure in the Valorant community and was known for his positive attitude and sense of humor. His death has been met with an outpouring of grief from the esports community.
