Xbox Confirms Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 For Game Pass On Day One

The worst kept secret in gaming has been confirmed as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass. The announcement was made official via the Xbox Wire on Tuesday morning.

“We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass,” Megan Spurr, senior community lead of Xbox Game Pass said.

Black Ops 6 marks the first game in the franchise to be added to the service since Microsoft completed its $69 billion purchase of Activision in October 2023. There was no mention of any other Call of Duty games coming to Game Pass. Also not mentioned was any changes to Xbox Game Pass pricing and/or tiers, which are expected to come with the series’ addition.

Along with the announcement, a new live action trailer was released for the game.

Xbox will be holding a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct event on June 9 following its Xbox Games Showcase. That event is when fans are expected to get a full deep dive into what the latest game in the long-running franchise has to offer.
