Day 4 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 The Grind Week 1 Groups 7 and 8 has concluded with upcoming teams dominating the event. Underdog teams like RIP Mizo, Cannon Boltz and Team UP50 Esports dominated Group 7 along with Python Gaming and Xnor Esports from Group 8. The seasoned squad of iQOO Soul dominated Group 7 and grabbed the most points across its three matches. 

The event will see 256 teams competing for a spot in the BGIS 2024 main event.

BGIS 2024 The Grind Week 1 Day 4 Groups 7 and 8 Match Summary

Match 1 Erangel: RIP Mizo secured a 23 point chicken dinner. iQOO Soul placed second and scored 20 points, 14 of which came via finishes. Cannon Boltz and Medal Esports placed third and fourth and got 8 points each. Sayyam “Sayyam” Ostwal was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 7 finishes. Team UP50 Esports placed fifth and got 7 points. Celsius Esports, ASG Esports and Team OGS were eliminated without any points.

Match 2 Miramar: iQOO Soul secured a massive chicken dinner with 26 points. Nakul “Nakul” Sharma from iQOO Soul was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Team UP50 Esports and Medal Esports placed second and third, showed aggressive gameplay and got 12 points each. RIP Mizo continued its momentum and got 10 points. Element X placed fifth and got 7 points. Execute Esports and ASG Esports were eliminated in the initial stages without any points.

Match 3 Sanhok: iQOO Soul secured back to back chicken dinners with 22 points. Celsius Esports and Cannon Boltz made a comeback and got 16 points each. DhruvOG from Celsius Esports was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Element X placed fourth, it showed good rotations and scored 10 points. ASG Esports placed fifth and got 9 points. Medal Esports and Last Hope were eliminated in the early stages with just a single point each.

Match 1 Erangel: Believer Esports secured an 18 point chicken dinner. IntxFurious placed second and got 15 points, 10 of which came via finishes. HUB Esports and Team iFlicks placed third and fourth and secured 12 and 11 points respectively. X7 Mizoram placed fifth and got 9 points. Faeden from X7 Mizoram was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Team Storm was eliminated early without any points.

Match 2 Miramar: Python Gaming secured a 19 point chicken dinner. Xnor Esports placed second and got 19 points, 13 of which came via finishes. 7Hills Esports placed third and scored 15 points. NinjaOP from 7Hills Esports was the MVP of the match with 5 finishes. X7 Mizoram placed fourth and secured 11 points. Team 8Bit placed fifth and got 7 points. Team GWL was eliminated early without scoring any points.

Match 3 Sanhok: Python Gaming secured back to back chicken dinners with 14 points. Team 8Bit placed second and scored 15 points. Aditya “Aditya” Mathe from Team 8Bit was the MVP of the match with 7 solo finishes. Team Storm placed third and made a comeback to get 11 points. 7Hills Esports continued its good run and got 9 points. My Time Now placed fifth and got 8 points. X7 Mizoram and HUB Esports were eliminated without any points.

Day 4 of the event was dominated by upcoming teams like Xnor Esports, Cannon Boltz and RIP Mizo along with the seasoned squad of iQOO Soul and Team 8Bit. A few teams like Execute Esports, Lsst Hope and Team GWL were unable to put forth consistent performance and placed in the bottom of the points table with single digit points.
