BMPS 2023 Week 3 Day 1: Overall Standings, Match Summary and More

Day 1 of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 has concluded with teams like Team Insane, Global Esports, Entity and Third World Mafia (TWM) dominating the week. Some of the teams like Big Brother Esports, Hyderabad Hydras and AutoBotz were only able to grab single digit points.

Team Insane was placed at the top of the table with 52 points and 2 chicken dinners. Entity placed second with 39 points and a chicken dinner. Global Esports and TWM placed third and fourth with 34 points each. Lucknow Giants placed fifth with 29 points and a chicken dinner.

BMPS Week 3 Day 1 Match Summary 

Match 1 Erangel (Group 3 vs Group 5): Global Esports secured a massive 31 point chicken dinner including 16 finish points. Harshit “Beast” Yadav and Tanjot “Ninjaboi” Singh were the star performers for Global Esports with 7 and 6 finishes respectively. Entity placed second got 18 points. Wind Esports showed good teamwork and scored 16 points. TWM and Reckoning Esports were placed fourth and fifth and were able to secure 14 and 10 points respectively. Team OG and Clue Esports were eliminated without scoring any points.

Match 2 Miramar (Group 2 vs Group 3): Lucknow Giants made a comeback and secured a 29 point chicken dinner. Prajwal and Ragegod were the star performers with 8 and 5 finishes respectively. 1M continued its good run from Week 2 and got 22 points. TWM had back to back good matches and scored 20 points. Team ASG placed fourth and got 11 points. Hydra Esports and Global Esports were eliminated with 3 points each. 

Match 3 Sanhok (Group 1 vs Group 6): Team Insane secured its first chicken dinner of Week 3 with 29 points. Aditya “Aadi” Dawar and Harsh from Team Insane were the star performers with 5 finishes each. Galaxy Esports placed second and got 19 points. Team FLY got 16 points for its  team effort. Vintage Esports placed fourth and got 14 points. Nade Official and Team RPS were eliminated with zero points.

Match 4 Vikendi (Group 4 vs Group 5): Entity secured the chicken dinner on the map of Vikendi with 21 points. HUB Esports made a comeback and also got 21 points. 7H placed third and got 14 points. Blind Esports showed good rotations and grabbed 12 points. Team Mayhem and AutoBotz were placed fifth and sixth and secured 9 and 8 points respectively. Team V9 and UK07 were eliminated with 1 point each.    

Match 5 Erangel (Group 4 vs Group 6): Team Insane secured its second chicken dinner of the day with 23 points. Darklord from team Insane was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 7 solo finishes. Team RPS and OnePowerxHighVoltage (OPxHV) made a comeback and grabbed 16 points each. Nade Official also put forth good fights and got 15 points for their efforts. Team Mayhem placed fifth and got 13 points. Big Brother Esports and Hyderabad Hydras were eliminated with 2 points each.

Day 1 of BMPS 2023 Week 3 was the day of comebacks for the teams like Lucknow Giants, HUB Esports and 1M Official, teams that were placed in the second half of the overall points table but have now managed to turn the tide in their favor. Some of the seasoned teams like Team Insane, Blind Esports and Global Esports continued their momentum from Week 2 and put forth good performances.
