‘I Am Extremely Possessive About…’Kartik Aaryan Addressed Alleged Feud With Luv Ranjan Over Casting Ranbir Kapoor

Kartik Aaryan and Luv Ranjan, known for their string of successful films together, faced speculation of discord when Ranjan chose to cast Ranbir Kapoor over Aaryan in ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’.

Kartik Aaryan, currently engrossed in promoting his upcoming movie ‘Chandu Champion’, addressed these rumors in a recent interview.

Having debuted in Bollywood with Ranjan’s ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ in 2011, Kartik Aaryan has enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with the director, including films like ‘Akaash Vani’ and ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’. However, the decision to cast Kapoor sparked conjecture about a possible fallout between Aaryan and Ranjan.

In an interview with The Lallantop, Kartik Aaryan clarified the situation, stating

“Luv Ranjan informed me about the film. I think he had his reasons to not cast me and it’s not necessary that all directors will make films with the same actor. And I am sure whenever we collaborate again, we will have fun. We are extremely comfortable with each other. I feel we never really had our relationship affected by this. However, I am extremely possessive about my team.”

Luv Ranjan has once stated that,

“Kartik is a lot more fun on set while Ranbir is more quiet and to himself. On set, if you see Ranbir, he is at ease with himself. He’s usually quiet but he’s totally prepared.”

Kartik Aaryan has always held Ranjan in high regard, acknowledging the filmmaker for launching his career and expressing eagerness for future collaborations.

Despite the casting decision, their bond remains intact, with Aaryan emphasizing his attachment to his team.

On the professional front, Kartik Aaryan is actively promoting ‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Kabir Khan, slated for release on June 14, 2024. Additionally, he is filming ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, the latest installment in the popular franchise, alongside Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri.
