Indus Battle Royale Announces First Ever Esports Tournament

One of India’s leading gaming companies SuperGaming made some exciting announcements about its Indo-Futuristic battle royale Indus.

Indus battle royale is slated for mobile, PC, and consoles and the pre-registrations are already live on Google Play for Android. SuperGaming proudly noted in a press release, “Pre-registrations for the game have crossed 7 million already.”

In the same press release dated 24th October, SuperGaming also announced its first-ever esports tournament for Indus.

Dubbed Indus Esports Invitational, this esports tournament is gearing up to feature some of the biggest names in the Indian esports scene. Several professional teams have been invited to play in the Indus Esports Invitational which boasts a prize pool of Rs 10,00,000 INR. The tournament is set to happen on 28th October 2023.

Indus Esports Invitational Announced by SuperGaming

SuperGaming co-founder and CEO Roby John noted that the studio was thankful for the community’s response to Indus battle royale. He added that the developers felt ready and confident to test the game in the competitive esports space.

John added, ā€œSince our last community playtest in our studio, we feel weā€™re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring Indiaā€™s best teams. Weā€™re grateful for their support in building Indiaā€™s most ambitious battle royale to date.ā€

Indus Esports Invitational is all set to feature some of the best Indian esports teams. SuperGaming has invited the following teams for the tournament:

  • Orangutan

  • Godlike Esports

  • Team 8bit

  • Global Esports

  • Enigma Gaming

  • Reckoning Esports

In addition to this, teams of Indus content creators, community members, and winners of past playtests will be present at the invitational, noted SuperGaming.

It added, “Thereā€™s a total prize pool of Rs. 10,00,000 with the winners netting Rs. 5,00,000 and the runners-up, third-place, and fourth place getting Rs. 2,50,000, Rs. 1,00,000, and Rs. 50,000 respectively.

In addition to this, the most valuable player (MVP) at the Indus Esports Invitational will receive Rs. 1,00,000.

Talking about the version of Indus in use for the esports tournament, SuperGaming noted that it will include the entirety of Virlok, the game’s map, improved control options, design balances, and enhancements across visuals, and animations.

The following is a recently released gameplay clip that explains what fans can expect to see in the Indus Esports Invitational.

Players will be able to share their thoughts on various aspects of the game and impact the direction of Indus through this official esports tournament. This will be the fifth time SuperGaming has brought in its community to play the game.

Indus fans and battle royale esports enjoyers can watch the first ever Indus esports tournament live on the Indus Discord server. SuperGaming noted that the slots are limited and are available on a “first come, first serve” basis.
