Day 1 of the Upthrust Esports India Rising Series 2024 Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) Finals has concluded with seasoned teams dominating the event. Experienced teams like iQOO Soul, Orangutan and Godlike Esports dominated Day 1 of the event.

Ankit “Akop” Shukla from Orangutan and Manpreet “Rony” Singh from iQOO Soul dominated the finish leaderboards with 16 and 15 finishes respectively.

The Finals will see 16 teams competing for a prize pool of INR 5 Lakhs.

Match 1 Erangel: iQOO Soul secured a 20 point chicken dinner. Gods Reign placed second and got 13 points. Team Forever placed third and got 12 points, 8 of which came via finishes. Maxkash from Team Forever was the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match with 5 finishes. Hydra Esports and Team Tamilas placed fourth and fifth and got 10 and 9 points respectively. R Esports was eliminated early with 2 points.

Match 2 Miramar: Gods Reign secured a 17 point chicken dinner. Enigma Gaming placed second and scored 12 points. Sahil from Enigma Gaming was the MVP of the match with 6 finishes. Team 8Bit placed third and got 10 points. Orangutan placed fourth and got 9 points, 7 of which came via finishes. Team Tamilas placed fifth and got 8 points. Gujarat Tigers was eliminated early with zero points.

Match 3 Erangel: Team Forever grabbed a 21 point chicken dinner. Mafia from Team Forever was the MVP of the match with 4 solo finishes. Hydra Esports placed second and got 13 points, 8 of which came via finishes. Gods Reign placed third and scored 10 points. R Esports and Marcos Gaming placed fourth and fifth with 8 and 7 points respectively. Godlike Esports and Enigma Gaming were eliminated without any points.

Match 4 Sanhok: Godlike Esports secured a 23 point chicken dinner. Orangutan placed second, showed aggressive gameplay and scored 19 points. Uprising Rivals placed third and got 10 points. Team Tamilas placed fourth and scored 9 points. iQOO Soul placed fifth and got 8 points, 6 of which came via finishes. Manpreet “Rony” Singh from iQOO Soul was the MVP of the match with 6 solo finishes. Marcos Gaming was eliminated with 2 points.

Match 5 Miramar: Marcos Gaming grabbed an 18 point chicken dinner. Orangutan placed second and got 15 points, 11 of which came via finishes. Ankit “Akop” Shukla from Orangutan was the MVP of the match with 5 finishes. Godlike Esports and iQOO Soul placed third and fourth and got 11 points each. Team 8Bit placed fifth and got 8 points, all coming via finishes. Team Tamilas and Enigma Gaming were eliminated early with 1 point each.

Match 6 Erangel: WSB Gaming grabbed an 18 point chicken dinner. Zeref from WSB Gaming was the MVP of the match with 4 finishes. Godlike Esports placed second and got 13 points. Team Tamilas placed third and got 8 points, all coming via finishes. Orangutan and Team Forever placed fourth and fifth with 7 points each. Team 8Bit was eliminated early with zero points.

Day 1 of the event was dominated by seasoned teams like iQOO Soul, Orangutan and Godlike Esports along with upcoming teams like Hydra Esports and Marcos Gaming. Some of the experienced teams like Team XSpark and Gujarat Tigers were unable to show consistent performances and were placed in the second half of the points table.
