Riot Games’ Valorant is an ever-growing experience and, with Episode 7 Act 3 right around the corner, FPS fans can look forward to a new agent in a matter of weeks. If you want to know what Valorant Iso abilities you can look forward to taking advantage of in your first game when he drops, we finally have some fresh gameplay to talk about – and he looks like a nightmare to counter.

Valorant is one of the best FPS games out there right now and Iso might just be the best Valorant agent in the game when he arrives. Ahead of the Valorant Episode 7 Act 3 start date, developer Riot Games has shared a brand new gameplay video showcasing his ability kit; if you didn’t think the new Valorant agent Iso is your new Duelist to dominate your enemies with before-hand, you will after watching this.

As you can see below, Iso’s E (Double Tap) – at the 00:17 mark in the video – will activate a focus timer that lets Iso absorb energy orbs from damaged and dead enemies which will then be converted into a shield that absorbs one instance of damage – no matter the source. If you’re trying to aggressively climb the Valorant ranks, this is something of a game changer.

In addition to this, Iso’s Q (Undercut) – at the 00:36 mark – lets him apply the ‘fragile’ status to enemies through walls. All you need to do is throw a bolt through any solid object in the rough direction of your opponents; when this touches an enemy, it will apply the status effect – which increases the damage you take for a limited time.

Iso’s C (Contingency) – at around the 00:39 mark – is also an ability you’re going to want to use often. This, as the footage shows, lets Iso summon a wall of energy that blocks bullets for a little while. This can be used to navigate any sort of choke points, reposition if under fire, or prepare a trap for the opposing team.

Finally, Iso’s X (Kill Contract) – from the 00:45 mark onwards – will allow players to pull an enemy into a one versus one duel. It’s a bold choice, but one that could make late-game clutch plays very exciting. All you need to do with this one is shoot out a column of energy into your enemies; the first one to be hit by it will be teleported into an arena with Iso waiting.

IGN reports that Valorant designer Nicholas Smith wanted Iso to feel like a bit of a juggernaut – someone who can “run a team through and keep on going without mobility or healing”. We don’t know how this will shake out when more players get their hands on him, but we do think he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with – if you can master his abilities. Thankfully, though, he doesn’t have an auto-aim ability – something early rumors suspected.

For now, while we wait for his arrival, you can double check you’re using the best Valorant crosshair codes right here. Sound is an important tool in a game like Valorant, even more-so when you think about how Valorant is levelling the playing field with this major smoke update recently.
